Inevitably after your second baby, you will be unable to spend a ton of time with your first child the way you did before. There will be times where you feel guilty and question yourself… “What have we done? My first baby never gets the attention they used to, I bet they feel so unhappy about this new arrangement.” As much as you love your second, you’ll sometimes feel like you took something away from the first.
But then there are days like today where you’re reminded that you are no longer your child’s world. That they have made room for someone else, someone they completely adore, someone that will get their back and make them laugh when you’re tired and feel like you have no more jokes. The person that will say, “PEEP!” when you turn out the lights and say, “Not. ANOTHER. PEEP outta you guys.”
This moment reminded us that we gave something to Everly instead of taking something away from her.
