My playgroup recently started a Biggest Loser challenge and there’s quite a bit of money up for grabs for the winner. I finally feel like I have the motivation to get to my overall goal weight, so the healthy eating has started back up. However, it’s just unrealistic for me to try and completely forgo desserts so I’ve been looking up recipes on Pinterest and invited one of my teammates to come over last night so we could try a couple.
We made Not Guilty Chocolate Chip Cookies and Fudge Babies from the blog ChocolateCoveredKatie.com.
Delicious! The cookies taste like a slightly less sugary version of regular chocolate chip cookies with a bit of a softer texture. The fudge babies are unique, they aren’t too sweet and they’re full of walnuts. They aren’t the prettiest little guys in the world, but they’ll do. Billy, Jodi, and I talked about how we could make them even more decadent by dipping them in chocolate sauce or sprinkling them with powdered sugar. Then we realized we were kinda defeating the purpose. Woops.
I ate two cookies for breakfast this morning because at around 45 calories each (only 25 if you follow her exact recipe) I felt 100% justified. I would have eaten them even if I didn’t feel justified, let’s get real.
I also taste-tested about 50 times because you can never be sure something is really worth eating until you eat it all, in my opinion.

High quality pictures thanks to my badly in need of an upgrade iPhone. You’re welcome.
