Party preparations are in full swing for this weekend. A weekend rumored to be around 100 degrees with little wind or cloud coverage to take the edge off the heat. Today I baked the layers of Everly’s cake so they could chill over night and I plan on running to the grocery store for some last minute items when B gets home from work.
Both babies are still snotty with colds (and Beckett is still on an antibiotic for his double ear infection) but they seem on the mend. Everly is asking for Nutrigrain bars every 15 minutes and Beckett is pulling up on all the furniture and then crying because he doesn’t want to fall down onto his butt.
I have lots of thoughts on Everly turning 2 but I seem to be avoiding them for now because it’s a little much. She keeps saying things to me that sound so weird coming out of her mouth and I love her so much because she’s the best girl in this whole world. She is kind & smart & funny and if you don’t know her, you’re really missin’ out. I know 2 will be a happy year for our girl, we’ll make sure of it.
I hope she loves her cake.
This video is mostly Everly’s first year (and a few months after). I’ll have to make her one for her second year.
